Illinois SREC Guide

Three steps to take a sold Illinois project to a submitted SREC disclosure.

Open the SREC Disclosure Form
  1. Step 1: Build your project to determine equipment

Build the project in your design tool and note the equipment details — the calculator in Step 2 needs both:

    • Module model
    • Module count — the number of solar panels
  2. Step 2: Calculate the DC system size

Open the calculator that matches the system's inverter and use your Step 1 equipment details to complete the calculation.

Make a copy of the master sheet before entering values so you don't overwrite anyone else's work.

  3. Step 3: Submit the SREC disclosure form

Enter the project details from Steps 1 and 2 into the disclosure form and submit.

Submitting starts the IL Shines disclosure workflow.

What happens after you submit

Your submission enters Aveyo's IL Shines pipeline. The operations team reviews the disclosure and submits the application to Illinois Shines — the state incentive program (formerly the Adjustable Block Program) that issues Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) for distributed solar.
